the west coast military academy golf club - saldanha Bay

The military academy is situated on a prime position above the bay, from where activities on the open sea can be monitored easily. From this natural look-out point one has an uninterrupted view of the whole bay and the sea beyond.

The Defense Golf Club at Saldanha, close to the Military Academy, has possibly the best looking course in the area, with 12 scenic holes situated close to the sea. In spring the magnificient golf course is covered in fields of white daisies.
From Cape Town take the West Coast Road. Take the Saldanha turn-off to the left. Continue until you come to a T-junction. Turn left to Saldanha and drive through Saldanha. Proceed until you come to the SAS Saldanha Military area.

Proceed for approximately 2kms until you reach a 4-way stop. Turn right and continue for 1km until you see sign boards for the golf course, bowls and shooting range. Travel on a dirt road for approximately 1km where you will find the golf course.

Visitors are welcome every day. The course has a rating of 69 and a driving range.
