rosemary moore

l'm Rosemary Moore.I was born on th 31st December 1968 in Cape Town. I moved to Darling in 2006 and I love it here.

Durinq my school years I went to Frank Joubert Art School and in 1987 I went to Ruth prowse, where I was taught by Eric Laubscher.

I'm married with two children; Robyn who was born in 1994 and Cameron in 1996. All of us enjoy the outdoors and travelling and we have taken part in mnay cycle tours and walks for various charities which were arranged by my husband Angus.

Having enjoyed drawing my whole life, I began painting oil paintings in 2003 and started lessons in 2007 in Darling, with Nina ven der Westhuizen, since when I have painted over 100 painting. In May, 2009 I threw myself in the deep end by giving my first solo exhibition - a Tribute to Bob Dylan, whom I had only just discovered, and who really inspired me.

For this exhibition I painted 44 oil paintings which were a variety of portraits and my interpretations of some of his songs. One of the paintings was painted especially for him and will be sent to him in Malibu California.

Included in the people who own my paintings are Helen Zille, Pieter Dirk Uys, Lionel Ritchie (USA), Mark Lottering and /David Kramer.

Subsequently I have had a few painting lessons with Leonie Brown, an excellent teacher. Although beach scenes are my favourite subjects, I paint all types of paintings. My prices vary between R400 and R5000.
