The Cape West Coast stretches from Cape Town as far as the border with the Northern Cape at Touws River, including within its parameters the indescribably beautiful Cederberg Mountains, famous for centuries-old rock art. The West Coast is well known for the annual display of wild flowers that seem to burst into sight almost out of nowhere. The conservation of the Western Cape's unique natural heritage in partnership with all its people, for the welfare, advantage and enjoyment of present and future generations. Cape Nature Conservation has a vision to become a world leader in conservation. We aim to instill in all our people a deep sense of ownership and pride in our unique natural heritage and realisation of its intrinsic and economic value. The west coast remains an almost undiscovered treasure trove of unspoilt beaches, incredible mountain ranges, rich geographical diversity, and the most astounding carpet of wild flowers in spring. Thus it has evolved into a major holiday route out of Cape Town along Route 27. As the world's natural treasures become more endangered and we are left with a feeling of hopelessness, those who care about the environment, are helping prevent the wholescale destruction of our natural surroundings? You can share the Mission and Vision of Cape Nature Conservationby actively participating in programmes to conserve our natural and cultural heritage through education. And pause to think about the consequences of our actions. With appreciation to Cape Nature Conservation
